Through three different life stories, the film explores everyday realities marked by social divisions, inherited trauma, activism, work, friendships, and questions of leaving or staying. Although they did not experience the war themselves, its legacy continues to shape their lives, relationships, ambitions, and understanding of a fragile peace lasting nearly three decades.
Little Star Rising

We are on the start line of a half Ironman triathlon – 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and a 21 km run. Right beside us is Nudži, a proofreader from Sarajevo, determined to change her life and be one of the first hijab-wearing women in Europe to finish this hard race. Behind us is the war that left scars on everyone, including her. She lost her father, her childhood, and her home. Nudži is warming up, determined and optimistic. A million things are going through her head. But, as always, she chooses to smile. Are you ready to choose to smile?
