Description
A character-driven documentary following Ajna Jusić, Alen Muhić, and Lejla Damon, three adults born of wartime rape in 1990s Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once silenced by society, they confront stigma and reclaim their identities through activism, storytelling, and performance. Ajna leads a war children association and stages a docu-theatre performance; Alen navigates public recognition and fatherhood while confronting his biological father; Lejla returns from the UK to explore her roots, bridging personal and collective memory. We follow them across Sarajevo, Manchester, and beyond, witnessing legal campaigns, public forums, and intimate family moments. Interweaving archival footage, observational cinema, and visual metaphors, the film explores resilience, trauma, and the ongoing fight for recognition, dignity, and belonging in societies shaped by war and silence.
